In case you don't know the story of our Santa House - State Representative Becky Ruth brought together some tradespeople of various unions and asked that they create this Santa House so that children would have a local place to go and visit with Santa. Those people built the Santa House and gave it to Becky who donated it to the city to maintain. We are very grateful to have this house and enjoy the smiles on the faces of the children and the adults that accompany them each year for that magical visit! Each child receives a small coloring book, a little box of crayons, and a candy cane after their chat with Santa. Adults are welcome to bring their camera and take as many pictures as they like - if well behaved, family pets are allowed. There is NO CHARGE to visit and take pictures. If your family is able we do encourage visitors to bring some canned goods with them and those gifts are given to the local Ozark Food Pantry. Cash donations are given to the Festus Police Department to be added to other Shop With a Cop donations.
This year the Santa House will be open an extra week and some Friday evenings. Dates to visit are Dec. 6, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 21, and 22. Saturdays are starred and hours are 12-4pm. Other dates fall on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday and those hours are 6-8pm. The Santa House is located at the corner of Main and Mill Streets.
Don't forget your camera!!
