The 70th Annual Twin City Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be Monday, November 26 with “Jingle Bells” as its theme. The parade starts at 7pm and will begin at the intersection of Mississippi Ave. and Bailey Road in Crystal City and ends at Walnut and Main Streets in Festus. The FHS and CCHS bands alternate leading the way as do the two town’s mayors. This year the FHS band will be in the lead and so will Crystal City’s Mayor Tom Schilly. Judges will be stationed along the way making their decisions about the top floats, best antique car, motor unit, and dance unit. No candy is allowed to be thrown from floats, but will be handed out to 6500 children by the Knights of Columbus Clown Club and is provided by donations from Chamber members. Grand Marshall is Birgit White, recipient of the Employee of the Year Award. This is an all weather event.
