Mission
The City of Festus Fire Inspector’s Office is committed to protecting our citizens and businesses of the City of Festus.
Responsibilities
The Fire Inspector’s Office conducts plan reviews on all new construction projects, inspects new construction and all existing properties. The city enforces all the International Codes, NFPA Codes and City Ordinances.
Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Every family should have working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in their home. All families should have an emergency plan to escape their home during an emergency.

Fire Department Connections
The City of Festus requires the Fire Department Connection (FDC) to be a stand alone connection. The connection must follow all International Fire Code and NFPA requirements.

Fire Inspection Plan Review
One set of stamped plans are required for the fire plans review. All plans submitted shall have the correct physical address assigned to the project
